Would you be the same person without your memories to guide you? What would you do if you woke up one morning with another chance? Would you make the same choices the second time around?
KAREN SORENSON is about to find out. Killed by space pirates, she wakes up to find she’s a clone with no memories of her previous life or devoted husband. On board the Ragnorak, hurtling through the Andromeda Galaxy, with a band of mercenaries, she’s torn between her own self doubts and the fierce attraction she feels for DANE SORENSON.
Dane thought he was getting the soul mate he couldn’t live without. Instead, what he gets is a stranger who looks like his wife and arouses him like none other. But how can he court her again when he has to hunt down the pirate responsible for her death?
Together they’ll discover if there really is only one person meant for each of us.

Alright, here is a question for those of you who may or may not be reading this. How do you do it all? I work full time as a teacher, am a mother of two beautiful little girls, a wife to my teacher husband Chris, and try to coupon, clean house, help with homework, complete lesson plans, read and write. I just don’t find time. I do find that the things that are pushed to the side quickly become those things that I do for myself. I have managed to walk 6 days a week for 35 minutes (mostly by myself, sometimes with our 5 year old daughter). I manage a little over 2 miles a day when I walk so that I have kept for me. Otherwise, the reading and writing part fall by the wayside. My kindle has sat on my night stand gathering dust for the past few months. I did pick it up over Christmas break and read a few short stories I had been meaning to read but otherwise, I have 8 pages full of titles I should be reading. I also have untold stories stuck in my head and half finished stories stuck on my laptop just dying to get out. Where is the time? Do I really have to wait until spring break or a great large snow storm? How do you do it? Writers, tell me, how do you write and have a life as well?

We just received another book contract through Hearts on Fire Books for our space novella “Love Me Again”. The book is due out in March or April. We’ll have out cover up soon for a preview. We are also going to be releasing a short story on our website free to celebrate our new book. Be on the look out under our free book section at www.christophergolliday.webs.com.
On another note, we are currently working on a hip, up to date adaptation of the princess and the pea. Sure to please the more erotic folks. We are also working on a few more story board ideas for upcoming novels. We hope to have a few more ready for summer releases!

The road to writing is always unevenly paved and often filled with pot holes. I for one, understand this. However, that does not mean I don’t feel like bashing my head against the wall or cutting someone’s throat when the road gets bumpy.
We submitted our edited, re-edited and revised again manuscript for the space opera and low and behold in three days time we received one of the many mass rejection letters. It seemed that so many submissions had been received there wasn’t enough time to review them all. I assume our synopsis was never read which leaves a bad taste in my mouth but I understand the time constraints and know that we all can work through it. Since the lovely three day rejection, I have submitted the MS to another publisher. If that does not work, then there are at least two more publishers I would be willing to submit it to.
I read the blog circuit daily and have come across some very good posts from authors who explain how hard it was to get their material read. The goal for me is to have an agent by the end of next summer. That means, I must write a 90,000 word novel and have it perfected by May at the latest. I already have my dream agent picked out but for proprieties sake, will not divulge it. There are a few back up agencies I have bookmarked if the need arises but I do have my heart set.
In the meantime, my husband and I are working on a paranormal to submit to the Golden Heart contest this fall. Our current publisher is not recognized by the RWA so we are technically unpublished. In that sense, we will be co-writing a novel for the nationally recognized contest in the hopes of being in the finals. I don’t need to win. I just want to write “Golden Heart Finalist” on my query to my dream agent. I also want to be published with a certain e-publisher as well before that query leaves my outgoing mail. For now, I have many new directions in which to think about. As a new school year begins, my writing must slow down or at least get compacted into only an hour or so after the girls are in bed. The goals I’m setting will be posted on my fridge with each 1,000 words crossed off. I WILL make it! I will also keep everyone posted on the progress and where (not IF) things get published.

Well after a rough week, the edited MS, the synopsis and query letter were all finished and sent in for submission.
This morning I am now officially looking for inspiration. It seems I had a ton when I had no time to think about it and now —– nothing! That’s right! The slate is blank. I’ve turned to a method I’ve seen described on various writing blogs and websites. Find pictures for character inspiration and move on from there. So, here it is… I’ve found two pictures I think will be an inspiration of sorts. We’ll see in the end if it helped at all.

Well, here we are with a submission deadline of August 10th and we’re chugging away at finishing up the romantic and external plot. The characters have come to love one another but have yet to confess all. The external plot is nearing the epic battle stage and we’ll be all finished. While we have the remaining few chapters outlined it has yet to come to fruition. So, with eight full days remaining until the submission deadline, we plug on. I’ll try to remember to post our progress later today or tomorrow morning. Have a wonderful Sunday!
